Fieldwalker exports your design as a professional document with a title block, legend, north arrow, and scale bar. Three formats are available: PNG, SVG, and PDF.
Quick PNG
For a fast export of exactly what's on screen, click Quick PNG in the Export tab. A4 landscape, cream paper, no title bar. One click, one file.
Full export preview
Click Open preview for complete control. The preview shows your map inside a page frame — what you see is exactly what will download.
Page setup: Choose page size, orientation, and paper colour (cream or white).
Framing: Pan and zoom the map within the page frame to set the crop.
Layer selection: Toggle layers on/off with checkboxes. Include All / Include None buttons. Your selection persists per map.
Stroke weight: XS, S, M, L. Heavier strokes for wall prints; lighter for detailed review.
Title block and legend: Included automatically. The legend shows only symbols visible in the exported view.
Formats
PNG — High-resolution raster at 150 DPI. Good for printing, sharing, embedding in reports.
SVG — Clean vector file. Every element is separately editable in Illustrator, Inkscape, or Affinity Designer. Does not include the aerial photo background.
PDF — Professional document with embedded imagery and vector line work. Requires an active subscription. Non-subscribers receive a clear message directing them to subscribe or use PNG/SVG.
Watermark
During the free trial and for unsubscribed users, PNG and SVG exports include a diagonal, tiled "FIELDWALKER" watermark. Subscribe to remove it. PDF export is fully paywalled — blocked entirely for non-subscribers.
Mobile export
On mobile, the Export option shares a snapshot to your phone's share sheet — equivalent to Quick PNG. For full controls, use the desktop editor.
Tips
Frame for purpose: Zoom to the relevant section for a contractor; show the whole property for a client overview.
Check stroke weight at print size: Medium or heavy for A3 wall prints; light for on-screen review.
Use SVG for further work: Export SVG and open in a vector editor for custom labels, colour adjustments, or report integration.
Legend reflects visible layers: Hide a layer and its symbols won't appear in the legend.
