In Australia, Fieldwalker uses 5-metre resolution LiDAR-derived elevation data from Geoscience Australia — the same data professional surveyors and engineers use.
Internationally, contours are generated from global SRTM elevation data at ~30m resolution. Either way, you're working with real topographic data, not guesswork.
