Fieldwalker hits 1.0. This release completely rebuilds the way you review AI detection results, making the process clearer, more controllable, and easier to trust.
Redesigned Auto-Detect review
- Detection results are now organised into five categories — trees, vegetation regions, buildings, water, and roads — instead of one long list of hundreds of individual decisions. You review by category, not by object.
- Each category gets its own visibility toggle, sensitivity threshold, and summary count, so you can tune trees independently of buildings.
- A fine-tune list lets you drill into individual detections when you need to: jump to any object on the map, hover to highlight it, and multi-select for bulk accept/reject.
- Suggested (ghost) detections are hidden on the canvas by default, with a control to show them when you want the full picture.
- The map background automatically dims while you're reviewing, so staged detections stand out.
- Committed reviews can be reopened — accepting a detection run is no longer a one-way door.
- Detection counts are now honest: the panel shows exactly what was found and what you've added to your design.
- Canopy sensitivity can be adjusted at review time, recomputing vegetation regions on the fly.
Detection rendering
- Dense vegetation now traces the actual detected canopy boundary rather than a decorative outline, with smoothed edges that stay faithful to what's on the ground.
- Large vegetation regions render efficiently at every zoom level — interior texture sheds gracefully as you zoom out, but the footprint never disappears.
- Tree placement from vegetation detections is smarter: sizing comes from the actual detection, and the converter chooses between a bush block and individual trees based on what was detected.
Editor reliability
- Fixed a long-standing issue where the map could go blank or double up after your laptop woke from sleep. The editor now detects the wake and repairs itself.
- Large area shapes are now selectable on their outline only, so objects inside them stay clickable.
Other
- Refreshed editor icons and a cleaner map-style control.
