Submaps, project screens, and safer deletion.
Submaps
- You can now crop a region of any captured map and create a new, higher-resolution map from it — drag a box, and Fieldwalker fetches fresh imagery at the best zoom for that area.
- Submaps stay linked to their parent: crop markers on the parent map show where each submap lives, and you can jump between them in one click.
- A map switcher (desktop and mobile) shows the whole family of maps in a project.
- A live, read-only view of the parent map can be shown behind your submap for context.
- Submap outlines can be included in exports as a labelled dashed boundary.
Trash and recovery
- Deleting a map now moves it to trash instead of removing it immediately, with an undo toast.
- A trash panel on the dashboard shows everything you've deleted, with restore and empty-trash controls.
- Deleting a parent map shows you exactly what's inside each submap before you confirm — and trashing a parent leaves its live submaps untouched.
Project screens redesign
- Project and map cards were rebuilt from the ground up. Map cards now show what the map actually holds — your design work, pins, contours — and project cards answer "where is this place" at a glance.
- Maps automatically capture a cover image of your design when you leave the editor, so cards show your actual work rather than a bare aerial.
- Project cards show a locator image derived from the property's position.
- Submap families group together visually on the project screen.
- Proper loading, error, and empty states throughout — a temporary outage no longer looks like an empty account.
Smarter map capture
- Map capture now automatically picks the best imagery resolution for your selected area — no more resolution chooser to second-guess.
- Fieldwalker assesses image quality at capture time and warns you (or holds off on full detection) if the imagery is too blurry or coarse for reliable AI results.
Detection engine improvements
- Full-map detection is back, powered by a significantly upgraded detection engine — noticeably faster and more accurate.
- Vegetation region detection is markedly better on dense-forest properties, including correct handling of clearings inside forest.
- Tree crowns are no longer double-counted where a forest region is already drawn.
